Have a place where you could duel someone from another realm and not get zerged. Maybe make it where each time you duel them you get less realm points or something. I dunno, but some way.

Have a place for 8v8 and no one could interfere. Now that would be real fun. Or maybe if you defend you have six, if you attack you can have 8. I dunno but something...

Have a place for 4v4 and no one interfere. That would be really fun! And noobs like me could learn more about the other realms toons and abilities. Talk about bragging rights!

Have a place where you could solo as a sneak and not get zerged. I miss the old mile gate sometime with my infiltrator. Maybe have a two man team vs. a two man stealth team. Could have brackets, playoffs etc.

Oh well, maybe next game. But I think what all of us pfear is no game will ever have the sheer genius of DAoC in it's basic form. If they could just turn off the zergs... Now it's all a numbers game. By far, by far, by far, the most common complaint is being overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Numbers which overcome all skill, all subtelty, all templates, all effort.

I dont know the answers. I just know I like the game and instead of many things I see time and talent from the devs going into, I wish they would make something for "finished" characters. Not the level 39s capped on rps forced into downgrading to try and keep from being zerged.

Good idea except I can not stand to think of leveling, leveling a bot, going to the days and weeks of finally affording a good template. If I could /copy my toons and still have them where I do I would. I was gone for years so I am not sure that is possible. If so, I would gladly spend money to do so if I could find some non-zerg battles on a regular basis. But I would want to keep my toons where they are also, just copy everything over. Heh, doubt it is possible but I would even leave everything in my house and vault, just carry the stuff I had on my toons and in their packs.

Go play WoW or a WoW clone for everything you just said there.

This game has adds, deal with it.

Don't hate on me because it's true. If you want a game that is centered around even number vs. even number, or instance PvP... every WoW clone/WoW has arena's where you can do that.

DAoC isn't about fair fights, never has, never will be. So again, don't hate on me because you know it's true lol.

MY statement is more logical, thus taking your sarcasm aside, it was a bright answer =o).

I'd be fine with an arranged fight zone as long as you didn't receive RPs, BPs, or experience. Arranged fights are the lamest way to get RPs and are borderline RP farming, considering you're getting RVR RPs while not RVRing.

I'm glad Mythic never implemented RvR instances or duel areas. Imho, such features go against the spirit of the game, and they would take away the intensity of RvR.

That being said, I think Mythic has grossly neglected small scale RvR design. Small scale RvR can best be described with two words: Bridge camping. This was never an intended "feature" and I just find it odd that Mythic has never tried to *shape* small scale RvR.

That's because this game was never about small scale RvR. it was supposed to be about big battles and sieges...essentially zerg v zerg was the INTENDED goal. I think that Mythic has done a pretty good job of catering to small man, solos and 8v8. The sheer size of NF leaves plenty of places for the small man crowd and the solo crowd to set things up, the players just need to organize it better.

The 8 mans have been setting up fights in IRC for years, no reason the small mans and solos can't do the same. Unless of course your idea of small manning is rolling solos and expers...
