Been playing for about a week now after not playing for about 4 years. I remember back in the day when Gna Faste was the place to hang out... ah the good ole days of DaoC.

It was like a truck stop filled with asphyxiated hookers, except they were kobbies.

No but I remember having to take a horse from Ludlow to Castle Sauvage and inevitably arriving just as Master Visur was walking away from the portal pad. That sucked.

Try T3/4 (depending on the server, but the one out on the island by the bone crushers) to Castle Sauvage...making it in time for the porter only to realize once the port goes off...you forgot to neck check

Zyzyg: What anytime snare are you talking about?...Your anytime style should be Polar Rift. Clearly you don't play a Shadowblade.

Or going from there to DF only to get to the portal and it was closed to horse back down and all the Witherwoode camps were taken.

Yup, because it was the only place selling the higher end metals for crafting I believe. And the last stop to the leveling areas of Varnern Swamp, and Skona Ravien. So everyone was selling their loot there too and looking for groups. I remember the worst part was getting a CTA about a relic raid and then having to hop on a horse ALLLLLLLLLL the way back. And this was when you couldn't alt-tab out of the game or run in windowed mode.

Gna Faste was awesome, better than sitting on the wall in Malm waiting 2-3 hrs for a Malmo grp while dodging the dragon every time she made her flybys

I thought that was a nice touch having the dragons toast random people.
