Teeth of Garm - Midgard/Percival
I worked for a company that was occupying most of a large building as their webmaster. I would take smoke breaks outside the building, and talk with a group of developers and artists that worked for Disney's animation division when they took their breaks. I was playing Everquest at the time and growing mightily frustrated with it, so I was overjoyed to hear about this new game Dark Age of Camelot that was coming out soon. One of the Disney guys was in the beta, and his comments made me very interested in the game as it seemed to address all of the frustrations I was having with EQ. We agreed we would all play Midgard on the Percival RP server, and that we would found a guild together, named Teeth of Garm.
We started on day 1 and I immediately starting gathering lists of character names from all the folks involved, but it took a while to raise the money required to found a new guild. After a few days or possibly a week, we had enough - thanks primarily to one guy who took up crafting I think - and we founded the guild. So the guild was planned before the game came out

It never had more than two dozen or so players involved, but it helped immensely that we all more or less knew each other in real life. We could go to the pub to have a guild meeting (Hello Strathcona hotel).
Later I was in Seventh Legion, Rage of Fenris, and briefly in a mostly Scandanavian guild I can't recall the name of. I really miss the old Midgard/Percival crowd.
Nowdays I am in a guild that founded by people who played Mid/Perc
