ok, stealth zergtards win the competition, with addnoobs beeing second choice. imho it is just consequent and fair if we take the next step and ask mythic to remove the ability to group from stealthers. for the sake of the community and a bright future for daoc, mythic should obey the wishes of their customers!!

I take it you subscribe to the odd belief that eight stealthers can't agree to travel together without grouping?

Making it so stealthers can't group won't help prevent stealth zergs.
It may make them worse, since eight guys grouped can let three of them pound you and still get RP, but ungrouped all eight of them need to hit you for their share of the pie.

ungrouped stealthers don't receive melos, bodyguard, crossblock, grp heals and other stuff. thank you for supporting this petition, it is for the greater good of daoc!

I agree. There are many examples where the term “gentlemen” is used to obscure what actually happened rather than to describe the truth.

While the history channel does have interesting information, information in TV programs is often skewed by the beliefs of those who made the program and skewed by those who fund the programs. Many directors openly admit the films they direct push political agendas.

It has been shown that in order to help relations between countries a Government will often skew historical facts to obfuscate things that would annoy other friendly Governments. In the US the Government spends large sums funding programs and propaganda that end up on the History channel. People should be careful of believing everything they are spoon-fed.

One simple thing to look at: The Bill of Rights was created because those items listed in the bill of rights were thorns in the side of those creating the new country. Look at the Bill of Rights and you will basically see a list of grievances that the US founders had against the previously governing “Gentlemanly” oppressors.

Another easy example: Look at <insert British colony here> to see how “gentlemen” treat their colonists. And while you review that ‘history’, remember chances are it is skewed a bit to cover up the worst of what took place.

For those in the UK across the pond, I am not trying to be abusive to those who created the colonies. There are many ungentlemanly things the US has done over the years. I am simply focusing on the “gentlemen” comment in the previous post and discussing how such a term can be used to create a false or skewed image.

Well I never said they were gentlemen or that they were not hypocrates. However it is a well known fact that the british lost the war because of their inability to adapt to the new guerilla tactics the revolutionary army was using that was learned from the Indians. The Brits would throw out those excuses probably cause they were getting owned.

For example snipers were considered the dregs of the earth because they had the audacity to target officers and kill them on the battlefield. Sound familiar?

Much like daoc players tend to make the rules up as they see fit to benefit themselves. I'm a soloer no I'm a small man I only coast guard cause I only hump towers cause albs are zerging etc.

Point missed I guess

The single most thing that ruins my DAOC experience is sitting at the border keep spamming lfg. RvR is fun in general even though some aspects are lot better/worse than others.

I'd much prefer to run in an 8 man setup on an even playing field against other 8 man's, but if I can't do that i'll settle for trying to get a small man together and looking for some action, if that doesn't work then i'll settle for running around trying to take towers and keeps with a couple more groups or if there's absolutely nothing better to do then I guess I can just run with a very large zerg. If I can't do any of that then I can have a little bit of fun just running between Crauch and Crim with a mini-zerg of solo players who won't group while we chase Mids to Crim and then get run over trying to get back to Crauch. While most of the above does get boring and old at times, it's a lot more fun than sitting in NF looking for a group for an hour before I get bored and log off.

. . . I kinda see this attitude in game where the pure soloers are rather naive in thinking that everyone would should honor them in a 1 v 1 or am 8 v 8 duel or challenge. . . .

I see what you mean. I agree with that part.

Part of the game is the challenge of encountering a variety of play styles and varying tactics in the Frontiers. Yet many whine that their own play style is not honored when the same person refuses to honor the play styles of others and the same person wants to force their own made-up rules and their own play style on the rest.

All this hub bub about the American British war is bull shit.

Its a video game.....we ain't fighting over land, rights, and our lives. This is simply a way to waste time in fun.

People have fun putting their skills to test vs another person, and having the outcomes decided by how well the fight that fight. Too many people are RP hungry these days. They refuse to get better at this game, and start really learning how to play their toons.

Its sad really.
