regarding templates, aurulite was always worhtless. with the new user stuff in mind, creating easier ways to get better gear for the bgs is the best thing that could have been done. it is no problem for a new player to get outplayed, but to get outgeared to a degree where you don't stand a chance is just demotivating and turning players away.

so if mythic wants to keep some of the new players they are trying to attract with the soon to be announced f2p (that is at least what i am thinking after all the stuff for the battlegrounds ), they needed to make the access to decent gear easier. ui-overhaul goes in the same direction.

very good changes, like the majority of things announced in the newest patchnotes.


only things i dislike are voideld (still) and ae-bolt bainshee (new) beeing useless speccs and healprocs from buffbots for hib/mid. i would have preferred to remove the reactive healproc buffs from friars or make them grp-only, because the current form is coastguard-love and a disadvantage for those who are brave enough to leave their own realm without a grp (= can't refresh timered buffs).
