Im sorry but the idea of having ranged DPS that can climb into keeps with wide open courtyards would be both over powered and stupid

What if it worked off a hookpoint that would only be able to be used once every half hour. That way They couldn't get a whole group up in there at the same time like assasins can do now.

The thing is why do archers need this? Aside from rangers the rest of the archer classes have plenty of tools to be sucessful. Archers dont need this ability. Your comparison to nS is irrelevant,for starters ifyou are being hit for 250 you either have shit cold resists or the NS sacraficed alot of melee to cast like that. Your jusitification is since NS can cast is irrelevant,its their unique ability just like Infs get 2.5 spec points and SBs get LW. You wont see haordes of NS camping keeps waiting to nuke unsuspecting players down but if you give archers climb wall you will see every single port keep packed with archers camping out. Its a bad idea

Well Norse hunter with Maxed cold but our armor is weak to cold so maybe yeah. But yeah the little luri bastards that line to climb into bled and nuke solo peeps in a fg of nightshades it's happening now! No one can dispute that they don't have good range or damage.
But this isn't a nerf shades thread. This is a hypothetical discussion about a skill that doest exist and will never be implemented. Purely for amusement and the way I am presenting it is in a how would this be put in in a way tht would be a fun ability for archers but not total bs for everyone else.

It's a good idea, but it would be too powerful given the DPS archers can spit out. Also, archers have inherent advantages which make them good in keep sieges (plinking people in windows!); whereas the other classes that have climb walls wouldn't be much use in sieges if they didn't have it.
