Anyone that doesn't see this patch as a milestone for DAOC is an idiot
This patch (love it or hate it) shows that they are clearly trying to keep the game alive.
The changes aren't that bad once people properly digest them in terms of balance and they are a GREAT change for new players.
The amount of content they're putting into this patch alone should show they've clearly still got plans for the game rather than just dropping in a bug fix every few months~

Woah, did they actually (kind of) fix enchanters? :o
Mentalists are now also even more of an alternative to elds.
Buff pots improvements in both stats and conveniency (duration, number of charges, number of different pots needed).
Interesting new quests.
Improved UI
And more, I'm impressed 
These are the sort of things that'll make me check the game out again, aswell as the previous couple of patches that have also been pretty good.

i think after 10 years old game, they could change the Frontier, maybe a NEW one, or the OLD one ...
with this same frontier game will continue loosing ppl

Great to see such a big patch, it's reassuring to see that the game is still being worked on. The revamp of the new user journey can only help the game. Plus the general move away from buffbots via NPC buffers and improved potions can only be a good thing. Yes they will lose some buffbot accounts, but they will also gain a lot of resubs from people who left because they didn't want to have to run a buffbot account to be competitive.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm THRILLED about the UI changes. To me, the biggest hurdle for new players was the severely dated UI, and this should be a HUGE step in the right direction. If it helps to retain any new players, it was well worth it. 10 years later, and we see a patch that shows the game will continue to be around for a while. The only sunset for DAoC is when the sky turns dark in-game!

The UI stuff is probably the best change of the whole patch. I literally had a friend stop logging in because of the way you had to exit the game. Super trivial I know, but it kind of makes sense.

OK... I'm happy to see that they're still working on the game and the UI is something that needs help. But seriously???? In my opinion a person like your friend is someone who a company will never be able to please long term. Because something, anything will be annoying enough to them for them to cancel. Who knows, maybe it'll be a sound effect the trees or waves make, maybe it'll be a the colors of the sunset.
