This week's Topic of the Week wants to know if you've tried out Pendragon.

The past couple days, I've been running around Pendragon. I must say, I'm pretty impressed. The DAOC developers and crew have outdone themselves and did a pretty nice job on the upcoming patch. There are a lot of changes if you haven't read the notes by now. Mostly in the starter zones and battlegrounds but the changes are bringing back some of the fun of being new to the game, grinding through levels, and may spark some interest in RVR at the lower levels. You will be able to level up fairly fast on either the PVE or PVP end of things. So look out to all of those selling PL's?you may be going out of business soon!

With the patch, you don't have to worry about your gear downgrading and turning gray as you're going along. You can gear your toon up from head to toe in both areas of the game to keep up with your leveling. This can help with funding new characters on other servers too. Now, you won't have to transfer funds via trading from realm to realm so that you can gear up a new character right away. Do a few simple quests, and you're geared! Who knows, this may spark me to actually play around in Midgard and Albion. The quests make it easier to learn the areas, and prepare for the battle front! Hats off to the Bioware / Mythic DAOC crew!

Topic of the Week wants to know have you checked out the latest patch on Pendragon? If so, tell us what you think.

Yes, and hats off to the developers. Not bug free, but still quite enjoyable!

I have been leveling a chanter from 1-50 via pve, quests, BG quests, and hubs.

I admit I used a few free levels. I used only the suits from the hubs and BGs.

I was impressed with the stats from the items. I found that even cloth casters

had +parry and +str capped in a full suit, thus leaving room to remove a few items

and add some fun stuff.

I like a lot of what I see. Need to have an option to minimize or reduce tool tips!

As I have a high latency connection here in Kuwait I am very impressed. I used to LD or go like 10 seconds before I got the whiplash effect and everything happened at once. I connected up at the busiest time on our internet here and I had full green across the board the entire time other than when I zoned once. This is the biggest improvement overall. I never had issues playing at home, but in Kuwait it's horrible. Now I get little to no lag on the test server. Hope this transfers to the real servers just the same.

/Hats off to mythic!

Yes your still mythic to me.

I am having a blast with the new starter area, much more new player friendly than the old one. I do have a question...anyone know what happens to aurulite? Just wanna hear if it ges converted to the bp scrolls or if they will remain around and be useless.

Game crashes when selecting the Option button. Hmmm!
