Considering the number of times I have been nuked into the ground by NS players, that would be my vote for easiest unskilled.
People say Archers are easy but playing mine I spend most of my time fighting assassins, and its not that easy (maybe I suck)
I think a hard class can look easy in the hands of a skilled player and an easy class can suck in the hands of an unskilled player.
The biggest differences to me are how much RR you have, and if your character is templated. Both of those factors are, to me at least, the most important aspects of how effective a character is. RAs are too powerful and too important. Oh and whether or not you have a buffbot - the deciding factor if the other guy doesn't.

Im sure people will say assasins due to their hatred of them but an unskilled assasin will east dirt if he doesnt know how to play his class well. While an archer on the otherhand can do well skilled or not. When you think the amount of real life dexterity you need to suceed as an assasin i wouldnt say it attracts the skill less. A good assasin has to do lots of actions in a fight to win,you need to land a perf, switch out poisons, prevent the enemy from kiting and kill fast.
To be honest, it used to be difficult to play an assassin, but now it's actually very easy compared to some of the other classes out there. The poison changes make it pretty easy right now, especially NS.
VW can be pretty tough for unskilled players.
Actually group skill and solo skill are totally different skill sets.
Some people are good in groups, but absolutely can not play solo. Also it can be the other way around, but any monkey can play a /assist class and succeed. Certain classes require skill and they are generally support/interrupt classes.
As for solo the most demanding classes are assassins still; even though, they are a bit easier w/ the poison changes. You still have to swap just about every round, while bypassing their defenses. Even now high RR shield users still have a ton of Defense. That being said there are still a lot of classes that are require a large amount of skill when its 1vX.

When you're wrong, you're wrong lol. Just because you play one... doesn't make them a demanding class, and CERTAINLY not the most demanding solo class. You must've never soloed on another class.
1) Once you lose stealth ability, the demand on your game play goes up about 10 fold. You can't slink away unseen or stand 3 feet away from people w/o them knowing on anything visible.
2) The majority of classes, excluding Sojos and archers, don't come in with get-away-free cards, not like apparently every assassins first RA points in Vanish.
3) Try soloing on a caster and see what real demand is like. You have <2000 hit points and everyone hits you hard, try maintaining distance on a charge tank, det tank or interrupt master to win a fight.
4) There's been so much archer hating on this thread, but it is significantly harder to solo on an archer successfully than soloing on an assassin.
5) You can always tell the easiest classes to solo on, based on the amount of Lone Enforcers. You see a lot of Warlocks and Vamps, because it's easy to get solo kills on those two classes, however; what class has the most? Oh that's right, Assassins.
Additionally, to your "bypass defenses". Try bypassing defenses with no 25% bonus and no constant 100-350 damage DoT ticking (LB + PS) per round.

assassins are easy? you mean easy when grouped? or easy when solo? grouped anything is easy to play. when your by yourself its tough. dont tell me assassins take no skill. it does to be successful, but absolutely none if you have to group. numbers alone can win fights. but a skilled player can still kill against the odds.

If we're talking purely about the attractiveness of the class, I would say assassins for both. A skilled player will be attracted by the raw potential that the assassin archetype possesses, a non-skilled player will be attracted by how easy it is to kill things.

Least skilled IMHO:I'
Necro,thurg,animist, vamp, KS/Leachloc*, Castershade,Caster classes in general.^
Most skilled IMHO:
CC classes, SOLO casters, Good archers**,Good assassins, Savage ***,Melee classes in general.^^
*not the WL that actually go out and solo im referring to the ones that sit and drop chambers on every fight they see for KS/RP because they cant solo or get a group due to their play style of holding dmg till target is near death. Groups also get damn tired of having to wait for 10 min after each fight due to rechamber because they ONLY dump chambers in a fight.
** Not the Back swimming, 8 poping on one person( though I find that acceptable if target pops SL at that point its a defense as this player is likely going to pop you all any way) Good archers that play their class well with out exploiting/stacking up in a British volly from the 1500's
*** Savage Everyone says this class is ezy mode. Which is true TO AN EXTENT but to play one WELL takes a great deal of skill. by well I mean NOT timer camping You have to keep an eye on your HP know how much your going to lose from your buffs ID the dmg type from your attacker so you dont blow un-needed dmg resist buffs.....Exc.
^ Casters are NOT easy to play in open RvR how ever the new "Extend" groups of 5 casters dropping warps and running to water to back swim are pathetic.
^^ Tanks are harder then casters because of lack of range and being forced to deal with VASTLY superior dmg on inc. + MoC when you get to said caster provided they dont have a BG which you have to Spot/ID instantly or your not going to get any dmg on caster any way.

Nydirech RR9L0 Hunter ( will never retire)
Kittyclawsgotcha RR6l7 Savage (Thanks Galandour)
And riseing fast
If it works use it.
If you spent RSP for it and its up then its fair use.
