I have the regular game loaded, and play with no 3rd party UIs.

I have been able to play fine prior to this patch.

I really like that you posted the error log info, posted details about any indications when/before you crash, posted info about what the lagmeter showed before crashing, posted computer spec info, posted OS info, etc . . . all that tech info will really help us to figure out why you are CTD every 5 min.

Same here. I cannot play anymore. Game keeps crashing to desktop within 5-10 minutes. Horrible.

You are assuming he knows where to find this stuff and that he is supposed to know where it's at. I'm having the same problems and I don't know where to find this info. All the fixes out currently have been from people on these boards not MYTHIC. I know VN used to have a Tech board for Daoc but apparently it's been shelved.

I find it surprising that some people do not even know what OS they are running.

But you are correct, some people have no tech sense logic and I should not badger them about it when they need tech help.

The easiest way to get your computers tech info is to open

Start

Run . . . and type in

Dxdiag . . . then hit ok or enter

(for Win7 just type dxdiag in the search box and hit enter)

After dxdiag runs, at the bottom of the dxdiag window will be a selection to

“Save All Info” to a text file. Select to save all info.

Remember where the text file is. Open the text file you just saved, select everything in the file, right click, copy it all and then paste it to a post here. (Unless you use your last name as your computer machine name there should be no identifiable personal info in that dxdiag text file. If you want you can always wipe out the computer machine name before posting the info. The machine name should be in the first paragraph.)

Dxdiag gives system info, OS info and it gives info about your drivers so that tech people can see if there may be a driver problem.

The DAoC logs should be in the My Documents folder under the Electronic Arts/Dark Age of Camelot subdirectory

where am i supposed to find a log file that might tell me info on why I may have crashed? There is critical.txt (its empty), delve.txt (seems to be for the new delve tooltips), frame.txt (empty), ui.txt (again for the ui), animmode.txt (dunno what it is really), and debug.txt. You'd think maybe debug.txt would have an answer but I think that's just a log created when loading to see if everything is loaded properly.

I crashed again though, this time I can say that for the last 15 times or so that i've crashed it's been either while panning the camera, or more frequently while using the keyboard to turn left or right. It seems its been with the keyboard everytime for the last 10 times, and not long after I die. I visit the buff npc, use my mouse to buy a token and drop it, and as i'm dropping the token on the buff NPC I start to turn left using the 'a' key, I get what appears to be a lag spike for about .5 seconds and then the game crashes (had this happen 2-3 times). This time I was at Dun Crauchon, run outside and start to turn right, same thing happens. I don't know if there's any correlation to actually using the keyboard to turn or not, but it just seems odd that the last 10 times it happened I happened to be holding down 'a' or 'd', i turn about 10 degree's, then lag spike results in CTD. Mind you it has certainly happened at other times too.

Edit: the only thing that looked possibly out of place in the debug.txt file was this:

*** Could not find zonejump.csv from [frontiers/zones/zone164/csv164.mpk]
*** Could not find zonejump.csv from [frontiers/zones/zone167/csv167.mpk]

Other than that it just tells me what everything was loaded essentially. I dunno what zonejump is...

this time CTD came when logging out of the game. It's happened maybe 1 or 2 other times before. Same .dll error, occurred immediately after my character reached zero seconds on the logout timer, UI disappears as if going to character selection screen, then CTD.

thought I would add some more info as i'm sure someone from Mythic is reading this.

Now it seems that i crash just about everytime I log out of the game. I never realized this earlier because I never actually got a chance to logout before crashing. But now 3 of the last 4 times that I /quit a character it crashed right as I was being logged out. And this isn't the first 3 times its happened. Not sure why it didn't happen that one time though.

Save you I could, but will I . . . should I?

Then what would you learn? Could you even learn?
