Now I don't disagree I like the look of the new one - It's a bit more appropriate for the game however somebody needs to learn how to prioritise over there.

The problem with releasing something like this, despite how nice it might look, is the reception it will receive...

At this stage the subscribers just want

a) The actual game bugs fixed

b) The Realm War page to be working

Now I know the game has nothing directly to do with those managing the site but it's how alot of the general public see it, you'll never stop that.

The Realm War is the biggest issue that's missed by everyone.

Looking up other players, guilds etc actually helped alot with fishing out scammers about to lead ML10/Dragon raids etc down to people just whoring over their weekly RPs.

This is what people want first and releasing a newer looking website without these features still working just enrages people further.

Kai you need to relay this because combined with this latest patch/now this website, people are getting more and more frustrated and all the good work and intent that was coming across pre-patch is quickly being undone.

First off I like the new look a lot.

That said, now that the new look is established, please fix the content of the site that is so vital to participation in the game. In particular fix the housing lot lookup page and the guild/player/realm stats etc that so many people rely on when playing the game. The sad state of the website for the past few months was stunningly unprofessional, the faster it is fixed the sooner you have a shot at regaining our respect for your efforts. As long as its thoroughly broken, no amount of prettifying it is going to improve things from the perspective of most players.

For those of you crying that they should focus on the bugs from this patch - it is without any doubt a completely different set of designers and artists that work on the website and the game itself. Likely in different departments even. So working on the website should have no impact on bugfixes because the folks working on the website are most likely incapable of doing anything for fixing bugs, adding new code etc. Its a different type of development entirely (most web developers who were capable of programming games would be programming games instead of web development, the pay is much better). I know since I am a web developer, and I can't code game code

Waste time - don't fix the damn program - Hell after 7 years they are finally driving me to quit- New patch - poof house gone no warning and i will be damned if I pay 25 plat again. Go ahead and make a pretty nonfunctional screen and keeping nerfing crafters till there is no income - watch the numbers to continue to drop.

I completely agree. I like the new site look, and similarly I like the changes in 1.110. The bugs just need to be fixed and the old site functionality added to the new site. I'm probably more patient with this than a lot of people, but I'm still anxious to see it happen.

Not only are main parts of the website broken, parts of the website that are running are seriously outdated

take http://darkageofcamelot.com/content/beginners-guide-creating-your-character for instance. For as much as you guys are wanting to help out new players, stuff like this isn't going to help them out much. Unless of course they wanted to know how to create a character 4 or more years ago.


So we have a polished turd. I will remind you that while it is polished and looks nice, it's still a turd.

The link you posted is more than useful to players who have zero knowledge of the game. It runs through every different possible combination etc for classes and what each type does... how is that not useful?

on that note the run speed bug isnt going to be fixed ...new code is being added to "help" players that dont run as fast as others
