Made my day... I was in high school when this came out, and people still thought of peeps as little marshmallow birds with crusty yellow sugar on them.
I was playing the first week DAoC came out. We set it up to try it at my friend's house before I installed it at mine. Someone got the name 'Khan' before me so I made a troll named Khandaoc and tried to kill a snake near GNA, and died. My friend and I were talking about how retarded the controls were the next day at school. Tried all three realms, I think Khandaoc is sitting as a lv6 paladin or armsman on my original account.

I've not noticed many older gamers on here, though I'm sure there are some. I remember when SWG came out. I was there for that on launch day just by chance, I literally picked it up off a shelf in the mall having not heard of it and found out it was launching that night and people were amazed I got a copy. That day was FULL of old star wars nerds that could hardly play a game. People who were adults that got excited about movies that came out in the 70's and were so set in their ways that Jar Jar couldn't shake their faith. I remember one going back and forth between asking me how to move around, and telling me about how they got all the laser rifle names wrong in his strategy guide lol.
I work with a lady who games every night, definitely 70+, and I want her to try DAoC but she hates modern gaming communities full of angry dumb people. Sticks to free games with extensive parental control type stuff, and offline games. She says she beat every bit of both dragon age games she could.
