We all know that Midgard has Alliances that live for RvR.

As well there are Albion Alliances that RvR regularly.

Hello? Anyone home? What decade is Hibernia going to RvR at level 50?

I've seen zones turned red. I've seen zones turned blue.

I've yet to see zones turned green.

Hibernia = level a character 1-50, posibly get CL and ML 10, then start a new character. Rinse and repeat.

It's like playing on Gaheris.

Hibernia is too 'cliquey' I stopped playing there years ago.

I'm a returning player and just hit lvl 50 on my vamp having a blast lvl'ing in the battlegrounds. I originally quit way before there was anything called ML and CL but am currently trying to complete the CL stuff and also trying to figure out how to do/start with the ML quests.

Wanting to do something else for a while I went to the Frontiers to do some RvR and was happy to see a LOT of people at the border keep. Problem was everyone just stood there. No one seemed interested in going anywhere. Very strange.

Tbh, I felt really stupid and bummed out but being a vamp I decided to go out by myself instead. I looked at the map and saw a tower close by was being attacked so went to check it out. A single group of mids were capping the tower with no resistance what so ever. After that I suicided, released to Tnn and /quit. At that point I didn't even feel like playing another class/realm.

On that note I'd like to declare that I'm very much looking for a guild that does regular RvR as I don't see any reason to stay Hib if no meaningful RvR is going to come my way

lol.

btw everybody stands at the border keep because they are just buffbots who have buffed people that are out there RvRing.

The solo game isn't great IMO, but sometimes you can have fun. You pretty much need to grab a boat from the dockmaster and go close to the other realms dock (either Caer Benowyc or Bledmeer Faste). The bridge is usually camped by lots of stealthers.

Well, hib classes are inferior to their mirror classes. No one wants to play a gimped class, it's obvious.
Some classes don't a have mirrior, but still they are so-so.

You can exclude some classes like Bard, Vamp, NS and Druid.
Others are pretty much weak.

So after Mythic fixes hibs things might get better.

Hibernia is indeed cliquey. I have been playing hib for as long as I can remember, and if I'm remembering right, it has always been this way. Coming from an RP cluster myself, I happen to know a lot of people playing Hib atm. So finding groups for me has never been an issue, but I know that is not everyone's experience. It really is hard to explain, but I just think a lot hibs have a lot of loyalty (not saying the other realms don't) from their roots.

I myself have been with the same guild from 9 years ago on Guinevere. And have stayed together with a lot of the people from our alliance for those same 9 years.

Recently, the alliance decided to merge the guilds and get into an alliance that is more RvR friendly.

If you are playing hib, and need a guild, send a tell to someone in The Faithful Few. The alliance is very RvR-centric and our guild RvR's practically every night from 7-9pm EST. We have a few people you might recognize if you played on the RP servers/cluster, Docsheal, Maxbuffwell, Vanyael, Kedehern, Meme, and Larian (if you still have an old ratty prima daoc guide, look at the page in the back of the book ) Like I said we have a few of the old folks from rp servers.

Can contact me on Cardennale or message on the boards if you want to join up. We aren't elitests, so joining up and running with us in RvR is pretty much guaranteed, granted we have the room, but always welcome to piggyback.

All I'm saying is that Hibernia is anti 8mans and battlegroups when it comes to RvR.

Hard to come by functional groups in hib.

Yep, on alb I can log on my crappy hertic and get a group within 5 minutes. Well on hib my rr11 eld will be waiting hours upon hours to find a group. Even my rr5 healer in mid can find a group relatively easy.

IMO the issue is that there is no well known bg leader on hib atm. If there was one, Hibs would have just a big of zerg as the other realms once they have the relics. Hibs have great siege classes. They just don't have a consistent bg leader. Mid and Alb are no different except for the fact that they have the bg leaders. But even on those realms when one of those bg leaders is not on alot of albs and mids just sit at the border keep waiting for them to log on or go camp the nearest bridge.

Every realm has the same type of people playing them. There are plenty of people who only feel safe and will run with a bg and if there is no bg then they sit around and wait or log or switch realms if they see a bg is running on a different realm.
