...before Mythic gets a clue?
Even when I play my albs it's getting annoying. Skalds, too. I understand, they're good classes, but come on people, I've never seen so much jumping on the bandwagon. Even when warlocks were new and unnerfed I didn't see this many of the same class.

I've checked a couple times since you posted this, and both time the minstrel population was about 9% of the total population. That doesn't seem very out of whack to me.

Well when you factor in that Clerics are probably about 30%, that doesn't leave a ton of room for other classes. But Minstrel's are pretty annoying, but not bad enough were I'd call them OP'd. Against certain classes sure, but what class doesn't have an equalizer?

Usually I would say 1/8th but not every group has a minstrel or
room for 1. 9-10% is a bit much. (after bots)
The draw of Minstrels and Skalds is speed/dps/survivability/SOJ.
They are overplayed due to solo and group playstyles.
Hibernia isn't over run by solo bards. They lack the dps to be more
than a pest.

I can understand where you guys are coming from. I was running duo/trio on my bard last night, and pretty much every fight started against a group with 1-2 minstrels, and then another 1-2 minstrels would add as the fight went on. I think I had three minstrels on me a couple times. However, I don't think this alone means they need a nerf. I can tell you about far more times when I've had way more than three assassins/archers on me. Numbers alone don't justify a nerf.

mins/skalds are the only non-stealther classes to play without beeing zerged over and over again. you need speed 6 in rvr...8man, small scale or whatever ~

Even if minstrels did not have their easy more rr5 and their ez mode pets. They would still be a popular class. They are fun to play and have speed mez stun etc. I enjoy playing a minstrel as much as playing a skald with or wo the pet.

Well not like this is a new topic. I have been calling for nerfs for Minst and Skalds in all the BGs. Thid Minst are like 50% of albs playing it seems. They have shown they can balance classes in all zones of Daoc, including BGs. They just need to have the guts to do so.
Easy solution, make Minst pets green con only until Molv, then in Molv make blue con and NF leave it as it is now.
Another solution, take away Minst insta Stun at lower levels.
