Its amazing (well really not) how some folks have zero sense of fairness in gaming(and probably life). Its amazing when regardless of the 3-5 individuals sharing a pict camp, a farming pbaoe group sets up and runs their guy in the whole village on every spawn, regardless of the others. Its amazing when a French Ani comes and stands right in front of my bain and FOP, and starts pulling mobs over and over. Yes this game is not built on fairness and its on everyones part to do the right thing, just sad when you see the greed over and over again.

It's why I find myself logging on less and less. I started a similar thread about this a few days ago.

Game has gone nothing but downhill. But I guess with the crappy playerbase left it doesn't matter what the Dev's do.

You act like this is unique to gaming and that people adopt totally different personality traits simply by typing a username and password.

People don't just steal a fishing hole in such a way they get all the fish IRL.

Plus, you can push them in the water if they do IRL.


This Ship happens every time someting nice is put in the game and a bunch of asses

decide they are going to ruin it for everyone and monopolize the market.

I actually had a very nice symbiotic relationship at the Hib camp two days ago.

There was an FG of Hib with chanter/bainshee mass pulling the camp, I was solo on my ranger. They would pull most of the camp but leave the back 3-6 mobs, where I could kill them.

I farmed really every item; in a span of 45 minutes, sold the multiple copies of not-so-used items.

And then of course the group apparently had farmed enough, picked up and left... a second group and then a third group came; which were of course less helpful (IE shrooms set up right in the middle of the camp, with bainshee set up screaming right on top of them).

Was good while it lasted, I should do it on Mid and then Alb so I have cheap weapons for new chars.

No doubt, there's always the few that mess it up for the majority. I remember Dopps in DF on classic. It was fun having 2-3 FGs running in the diamond loop and then whoever was lucky enough to have one pop as they entered were happy... then of course a group comes in that just steals them while your fighting... then a stealth group joins in and camps every single spot waiting for the re-pop.

Sad that something put in the game as a celebration is causing such greed, rudeness and abusive behaviour.

I've spent a few sessions at the Pict camps on Hib and Mid, pulling solo mobs with a bolt/DD caster. When there's other people doing similar, or small groups pulling mobs to them everything is fine because the spawn rate is fast enough to sustain quite a few people pulling.

The problem comes when some greedy arse farmer or group come along and completely disregard the fact there's already other people at the camp. They set up their ML10 pet or group right in the middle of the camp and that's where they stay pulling everything that spawns. No-one else can even pick up the scraps. Hib is especially bad for this because of the mechanics of the Animist and Bainshee classes which allows them to totally dominate a camp.

The people who are doing this know they are being rude, but they don't care. In a game they can get away with it whereas IRL they might be at risk of a punch or at least made to feel very awkward.

All you can do is keep a mental note of those involved, as what goes around comes around.

Just pull a mob and as soon as someone hits it after you have hit it report them for kill stealing. Yes it is illegal to engage a mob after it has been engaged by another player and the CSR's will do something about it...

BTW animist shrooms will violate this rule nearly everytime...

There's not that many players from when the game went live 10 years ago...very different crowd and community now there's alot of 13 year olds playing and ex wow scrubs...you even see this sort of manure in the BG as well.
