Is there some trick I'm missing?

There seems to be plenty of people rr 10 and 11, yet when I log on my Savage, the action is so slow. Even when the action is great, the RP's just don't come fast enough for me to think I'm going to hit RR 8, much less 11, in my lifetime.

Is there a guide anywhere I can read?

Thank you.

In all seriousness to the OP

How do you play?

Solo/Small man/8man/Zerg!?

Of all those, solo will be your slowest route

Start grouping up and steamrolling lesser numbers, you'll soon see your rank fly up

Why do you think Alb has all the rr12's and hib has the least ~

Thank you for the serious response.

Majority of the time I'm doing 8-man. When I can't find enough, I take what I can get and small-man/duo with a skald.

Is it better to zerg?

There is no magic answer to high RRs. Just stop looking at the bar, and enjoy your toon. Eventyally after some months/a year you'll find out you have reached rr9-10.

Well most ppl got high RR by Zergsurf or gank ppl 8v1 or so when there was incresed RP gain everywhere. Almost over night all the RR2-3 scrubs boomed to RR10+

I made 12k last night in an hour coasting the hib zerg solo on my ranger

plugged a few people here and there

Nothing special in terms of RPs but that was solo

If you get a group with some AoE casters who make sure they hit everything in sight then you can start to stack up some nice RPs while doing very little really

Realm points (/hr) is a lot based on how you choose to play. (Read: Not Skill)

You could go run a group in the laby for a month and come out rr11 probably and other than the rank I don't think you'd have anything good to show for it.

You could solo for the rest of the year and maybe get rr10 and probably have a very intimate knowledge of how to fight many soloers and what kinds of 2-3 man you can beat while also having learned immense patience because your lifetime IRS would be in the crapper. (Another useless stat imo)

You could duo/small man and maybe learn some group dynamics and probably come out a good deal ahead RP wise than soloing but far far behind laby.

You can run various types of full groups but your rps would a lot depend on the type of action they look for. A 8v zerg group (mainland) type group can make a lot of rps. But you have to start worrying about divas who aren't nearly as good as they think they are.

You could join the NF zerg groups and engineer the groups such that you make the lions share of RPS and come out ahead of laby too. But you'll have to learn to siege and learn to placate everyone else in the group(s) and your actual class playing knowledge would be an afterthought.

Choose wisely.

Thank you, looks like I need to head to Laby then!
