I did a Friar on Pendragon to test the New User Journey, and was usually able to solo the Epic encounters when I was a couple of levels higher then the level they were designed for (as a group encounter!). Same as above, there is no downtime for Friars leveling basically. Very nice PvE machine.
I did a Reaver in the past few days getting him to level 50 quickly, and as stated above basically no down time. I couldn't do the Epics though until they were way below my level, so I never bothered doing them. Reavers were good fun in the BGs too, maturing a lot earlier then other classes IMO. (The level 18 side style has a LT proc, and that won me a ton of BG fights.)
Only Cathal Valley was a real drag, and I ended up leaving that ASAP. The layout is horrid for soloers, and there was more zerging there then in NF. No places to hide, no alternate routes, and Reavers are not real group friendly. (The few times I was in a group I was permanently CCed out of the fight basically, despite Purge. Charge will be nice to at least have some impact.)
Now at 50 for a solo class Reavers are very strong. I am amazed at the people I'm able to beat 1v1 at my lowly RR3.
I made a Vamp long ago and yeah this is also an excellent choice. PvE is a breeze, and they're strong in all aspects of RvR.
