I agree with this.

It's simply not enough people to make a difference, even if they all did somehow exploit their way to rr12, to infringe on the fun of anyone on Ywain.

It would, however, make those people happy that they can come over and play on a populated server.

There are actually quite a few, not just 3 or 4...hundreds of players, I'm sure, would take the opportunity to xfer if they could.

Spread that number out between the 3 realm, and spread it out again across times zones and 24hrs of the day, BGs, pve sones etc...

From what I have gathered, this is correct. However, I don't believe it is something that can't be addressed by altering the coding. For example, players copied from Mordred and Gaheris to Pendragon function normally on that server (they can not equip items from other realms in their inventory, but can wear items from other realms if they were copied over already equipped).

The solution for Mordred's characters was going to be the ability to copy to Gaheris with the addition of the Molvik battleground open to all levels and PvP enabled. As a compromise, Gaheris would also receive the Cathal Valley battleground with a unique PvE encounter. This way Mordred characters would have the option to continue playing in a multi-realm environment, but with PvP being an option. Mythic has yet to fully implement this change.

Lab dueling is far different, trust me. And the RPs were never fantastic, good yes, but you could get better doing other things. I used to duel quite often, and not because of the rps. It was because I had fun doing it, making my own templates and specs, and testing my skill vs another who wanted to do the same. I don't know if this still happens because I don't do it anymore, but I doubt that it does, at least to the scale it once did. Either way...claiming dueling is farming rps to rr12 is lulz.

And I doubt anyone traded literally thousands of kills with anyone else in the kings room too. But bots aren't people.

This is such a stupid topic at this point it's not even funny. Go roll another freaking toon FFS, get to 49.5 make a quick temp or just use the bp gear, and within 2 weeks tops youll be rr5, and have enough bps to probably be ml10 when you leave. Why do you need to transfer your toons? Accept the fact that it was made on an alternate server and doesn't belong with the rest of the population. There is nothing you could possibly have over on mordred that is worth having them transfer it over. Do all of you have some kind of ml10 horded stash of items over there or something? what gives?

2+ weeks of my life that id rather not spend leveling, templating, and getting rr5+ on a toon which ive already done it on.

had you not been able to transfer your blue toons over to ywain would you have started fresh at level 1 with none of your plat, your houses, your crafting in order to make plat, or anything?
why is it fair for everyone else to be able to transfer toons? they, also, could just do the exact thing you just spelled out for me.

i just dont see why people would be against a move that would bring players back to the game.

The main argument seems to be that its very easy to exploit your way to high RR on Mordred, and those characters would in turn have an unfair advantage.


I don't care personally, and think its a good idea to bring them over, as long as they dont transfer their x-realm gear. (Since Mids can use Hib/Alb-specific gear on Mordred)

Yeah I would have. As classic server pointed out it's not that important. Or for instance, when I play another realm for PvE (yeah I like DAoC's PvE, sue me), I don't have all my hib crafters, my plats, my rrs, my farmers, my anythings. Yet I still play there, without whining.

You won't spend 2+ weeks of your life to do all of those things, but you'll spend them kicking and screaming.

And it's fair because we all came from the same ruleset, minus classic, which they never really complained that they don't have all the arties and stuffs qq, well maybe they did, but I don't still see them complaining about it now, they went out and got that stuff instead of crying about it.

Seriously, if you just spent 2 weeks just playing the game, you'd have all of those things again. Better yet, if you had started back when ywain had, you'd probably be rr8-9, max crafting, a good amount of plats, and all the houses. It's really not that hard anymore.

There aren't many characters who have RP farmed on Mordred because there hasn't been any reason to RP farm with the lack of population to compete against. You're talking about a very small minority, a handful of characters at most, that have RP farmed who may end up on Ywain.
