I tried asking in advice and reg but no one seemed to have an answer. Is it possible to bind pet attack to middle mouse? I thought I had it setup this way years ago but can't figure it out now.

qbind only sets something to a quickbar slot, from there I don't know if you can set a quickbar slot to activate via a mouse button, but maybe check /keyboard?

You can do this a number of different ways.

1) In some cases you can directly the middle mouse button, Mouse3, to this command in /keyboard.
2) If pet attack is not available in /keyboard, you can Shift + Click the attack button in the pet window and put it on one of your bars. Then you would qbind a key on your keyboard to this pet attack button on your bar. And finally, you would go into third party software to make the mouse replicate the keystroke you bound the qbind to.

I have face set up to be Mouse4, and I was able to do it in /keyboard by simply setting they key for the face command and then pressing the Mouse4 button. I then re-bound F to face using a macro (/macro Face /face) and qbind to qbind f to the new Face macro I made.

Hope this helps...

"pet attack" is not in the /keyboard list

so you have to use a third party sw

I believe /face is in /keyboard. I have /face and /stick set to mouse 3/4 and it's not qbound.

Regarding pet buttons, you should be able to qbind it. Use qbind command and hit button you want it bound to. I don't see why this would be a problem as long as daoc recognizes the keystroke (mouse 3, etc.)

I tried to do it with a Qbind but it wouldn't let me use mouse buttons, only keys.

Does anyone know if you can get into any trouble for using the 3rd party software to make this work? I just don't want to get banned if they think I'm using it for some other purpose.

My concern exactly which is why I'm getting a 5 button mouse.

What do you consider an above average mouse? I am using a trackball atm just because it has 4 buttons.
