best way to farm dragon scales on alb?

Quests. Load multiple toons, get the quest, go to quest location, kill stuff for the quest, run back to quest giver, turn in quest get phat amounts of scales, repeat.
Even with a single toon the rewards are usually better than farming mobs.

oh wait, i wonder if they thought i meant glass?
i'm familiar with the toa quests for glass.
is there something similar for dragon scales?

I was playing with a couple of guys I took for noobs one day when they asked if I knew where to farm scales. I told them I did, but I didnt have time to farm with them. I took them somewhere in TOA to farm and they were acting really confused. It was at that point I realized they said scales and not glass.
Confusion happens.
Even so, I'm not sure Tropicana is confused. And if everyone else knows about scales quests, I want in on them :-)

They are in NF. You can do the caravan quests for scales, or the pictish quest. Both are good for copious amounts of scales. Can be found by the portal stone, they'll have the new quest glowing insignia above their heads, kinda hard to miss.
