is there a timer on creating the sun weap? i want to use the sun weapon but don't want to use the belt. can i equip the belt, create the weapon, then change belts out? or is there a timer (ie i have to wear the belt for 10 min then i can create the weapon).

in short - i just want the weapon w/out the belt for my template.

Its an arti, so you have to wear it for 15 mins(maybe 10, i cant rememeber) so that the /use can be used. Period. If you die in the night, the weapons disappears and you have to wear the belt for the same 10-15 mins for it to be usable again.

You can use the weapon without the belt on, but if you die at night then you have to equip the belt for 15 mins to get it to /use again. Also, if you use another arti, then it will be another 5 mins before you can use the belt, if you need the weapons.

So, 15 minutes between /uses on the belt that you HAVE to be wearing the belt.

YOu can then /use and take the belt off.

Most dont template in sun weapons for this reason.

pretty sure they removed the if you die at night they despawn thing.


also you can vault the sun weapons and grab them when needed. same works with other summons like the javelins from golden spear and im pretty sure the aten shield trident.


EDIT when vaulted they stay there. so you can log out and they will still be in your vault, and thus no need to wait for timers. or a need to wear the belt

Weapons don't despawn at night if you die (at least not from what I've seen).

But it DOES need to be daytime in order to spawn them in the first place.

NIIICE! So you dont even need the belt on that char to use sun weapons???

Well... you need the belt to summon the weapons in the first place, but after they are summoned you can vault them (just like javs, mez poisons, atens trident etc) and remove the belt and they won't disappear.

TBH it's a major hassle though.

Ahh, personal vault. Gotcha. Was thinking house vault. Why cant you hit the button every 10 mins of rvring and just collect them?

Or does it have to be bugged out?

With a little dedication... you could always have sun weaps available even if the belt wasn't in your temp.

But that's what I'm talking about, its a major hassle just for an energy leggy... most people don't even swap to their crafted leggies

The weapons DO disappear if you die at night. Unless it has been changed within the past 2 months since I've last used the Sun Bow on my Ranger.
