It's a good thing. Al Queda will probably not be a factor anymore, although I would bet that it's various leaders will branch out to start new terrorist organizations. Still, good to see him gone. It's also funny to watch Pakistan to play dumb and claim they didn't know he was there. If that's true, they need to revamp their intelligence organizations.

No kidding. Mysterious massive barbed-wire covered walled compound in a suburb within walking distance of a military academy with no phone or Internet? They were either in on it or monumentally stupid.

Obviously you two both posted before reports surfaced that OBL's folks had told authorities that they were filming The Real World: Abbottabad at the compound to alleviate all suspicion.

Also this is still the best tweet I've seen on the matter:

BREAKING: Osama bin Laden is dead. Shouldn't have put his address on PSN.

It kind of irritates that they went through the effort of trying to give him a proper Islamic burial. Obama even said that Bin Laden wasn't a Muslim, but a mass murderer of innocent people, most of them being of Muslim faith.

I understand they're trying to avoid a big Muslim uprising, but the good, moral Muslim people don't consider Bin Laden a true Muslim anyways, and those who do, already want to kill all of us anyways.

Maybe they should have strapped a bomb to his chest, held a funeral for him so his followers could pay their final respects, then set the damn thing off. Now that'd be justice!

Yes, lets not do the right thing. Instead we'll just inflame the ruling parties/islamists in nations that are in the process of democratic revolution for our own selfish fantasy.

No. We're the United States. We're better than that. It's a shame such a large portion of our country has forgotten this and decided to share in your opinion.

I've seen enough IED explosions to agree with Kall.

I thought I heard that they asked Syria & The family if they wanted his body and they said no and that is what lead to the Burial at Sea.

Way to be so politically correct you can't understand a joke.

Seriously though, him and his followers aren't true Muslims, and they already hate us, so why bother? I don't honestly know if they buried him at sea to honor their beliefs or not, but I don't think I would have asked the military to do that. You could make an argument that this single individual has done more to hurt Muslims and their religion than any human being in history, yet he deserves to be respected and honored in their ways? I truly hope his beliefs are wrong, because if they aren't, we just sent him to heaven.
