Funny how having seen what happened to Detroit after Barry left the Bungles are going to let Carson retire rather than trying to get picks for him.

Asked why he wouldn't trade Palmer and get some draft picks in return, Brown said it was a matter of principle.

''Carson signed a contract. He made a commitment. He gave his word,'' Brown said. ''We relied on his word. We relied on his commitment. We expected him to perform here. He's going to walk away from his commitment. We aren't going to reward him for doing it.''

How is Carson being rewarded by being traded? Carson is getting what he wants, namely to stop playing for the Bengals. They are hurting themseleves so badly in order to not "reward" him. I'm sorry for all you Bengals fans. Thank God I cheer for a good, Super Bowl winning team that knows when to let go.

This is what happens when emotions run a buisness rather than logic.

So did I.

The very first video to ever air on MTV. Back when they were actually a music television station.

Buggles - Video killed the radio star 1979

Really never watched much MTV until Headbangers Ball was created.

The Buggles were just these two guys who did all of their recording in a studio. one day, another band which was using the studio next door had a falling out and most of the band quit. The two guys who were left went across the hall to the Buggles' studio and asked them if they would join their group. So the Buggles became YES, and they actually churned out a couple of hit songs.

to bring it back to the Bengals, they are a horrible operated franchise and the fact that they wont get something back for the only player that gave them the only glimpse of victory in the past 10+ years just goes to show that they really really really are a horribly run sports team.

A friend of mine tried to argue that it's good because it shows you can't just back out of a contract. He failed to see that Carson is backing out of the contract either way, and that all the Bengals are doing is hurting themselves. If a guy is so serious about not playing for you of Carson's caliber no reason to not trade him. Not like you're hurting the guy financially or anything. And again, after what happened to the Lions you'd think that everyone would pay attention when their most valuable asset is adamant about retireing.
