GoldManic makes the best point of all, its almost the two year mark and really theurgs are worse off then what they were when they were first introduced. Pretty sad IMO, I mean some of the newer classes have gotten love and we still just continue to linger away.

Some love I would like to see is a speced Group Damage add in Earth and the same for the speed buff in Air. Make them both cost X3 times the base one of the same level so that you could buff all your group at once and save mana in the long run. As an earth Theurg I los emore power to buffing then to attacking the enemy.

they might decide to nerf the one theurgist spell that hasn't yet been nerfed.

I remember when my wife rolled her first theurgist back in nov 2001. She was soloing oj boulderlings and everyone was freaking out. They all went and rolled theurgists because they were uber. lol.


How times have changed.

I remember soloing down in Avalon marsh when there were 5000 different spell damage types. Those mud golems were weak to my nukes, so I was mowing right through them. I can still do that against an undead mob. But not against a hib with 60% spirit resists. Oh, and at first, I had the crazy notion of going full ice spec. I'm glad I changed my mind by level 10 or I would have really gimped myself.

Hehe… I was going to be full earth spec…man, those little rock guys sure were strong.


I remember the last time I logged in my wife’s theurgists before she hit 50. I was in a diamond group and was basically buffing the pally (who was agro keeper) and ensuring that pbt was up.


I would then send 3-4 low level earth pets… hehe…its so damn funny to see those things run around in DF.


And then came my new spec line…comedy. At least I’ll be good at something (kinda)

Hehe, I remember that too, way back near the beginning. A friend and I were playing a pair of Theurgists, and people would watch us fight for a little while then ask us all sorts of questions about the Theurge before running off to make one of their own. After a week or so we'd started commenting on the HUGE swath of Theurgists we'd see running around. Everybody loved playing them because they were so oobah back then at PvE. Funny to look back at now.

Not only for theurgists but for all classes that need fixing. Give animists some love, fix their pathing, and don't allow their pets to nuke through walls unless that was intended. I sure hope a theurgist's ice pet doesn't nuke through walls. Ohh and make ground targetting more user friendly by letting us USE THE MOUSE to target the ground.
