Guess Hibs on this server just can't work together. If another guild beat you to the encounter but aren't ready yet, give them 5 minutes to activate the encounter. They were there first, if they don't take it in 5 min or they get wiped, its all yours. You don't have to be an @ss clown and just think your superior to every one cause your higher RR. Get a job and have a social life.. its much more fun.

They have more rps then me therefore they have less of a life then me!
It's not possible they don't waste their play time sitting around doing nothing or anything though!

"AoE had a group/battlegroup forming at SoM. TNO zooms in, ignores the fact that we were clearly there first, and deliberately starts the encounter. What was worse on top of this for me, was being told after the fact that my char deserved it less because I was only RR2, and that I was in a "PvE" guild.
Jod, their GM, admitted that it was a "slightly mean" thing to do, but apparently they didn't feel they needed to wait their turn."
I always loved Jod. Oh and if you havent engaged the mob/mobs then the encounter isnt started and is FFA

I sympathize with the point of view that TNO showed up with a group ready to do the encounter while one random person is standing there trying to get a group together. There are no camps is DAOC, and if the encounter hadnt been started they are perfectly entitled to do it.
BUT - a gracious thing to do would be to add that person to your BG, let them help and give them a shot at rolling for the artifact. 1 person rolling against 8 TNO, the odds are still dramatically in your favor and instead of making an enemy you might have made a new fan.

"The worst encounter is sun/moon belt. People will wait around untill you pull the 2nd last mob left. They wait untill its almost dead, then pull and kill the last mob, and get the credit. Hate that one."
How about this variation. Me and a guildy were doing BoM. A cleric (in our alliance even) came up and asked to join just for "encounter credit." I invite him but he is already grouped. We tell him to disband. On the last one, another group pulls it. I am glad my necro buddy was quick on the kill and got the key. We get the belt. As we get ready to leave, the cleric that joined us for credit ends up grouped with the people trying to steal the encounter. He even made the comment before he left "they were trying to steal the encounter" but he still grouped with them. hmmmm.

Oh and the "gracious" thing to do, if there were 6 people there as Kari said, would be to ask how long till they pull. If they dont know or it is not really soon, tell them you are going to pull and invite them to the /bg.
Is what was done wrong? Who knows since there are two stories, but it still sounds rude regardless.

I BLAME MYTHIC AND THEIR STUPID ARTIFACT ENCOUNTER SYSTEM WHICH CAUSE STRIFE AND DISCORD WITHIN A REALM!
Mythic to design better IMO.

I hate TOA because of these reasons. I feel bad for smaller guilds who take more time to form up when an artifact is found to be up. Especially when even in my guild it might be 30 mins to an hour before people are done with whatever they are doing to help someone and we may still not have enough.
I just hate TOA.
