Since it's so frustrating to camp certain encounters, would be common and costless courtesy to put up a BG and do the encounter with whoever happens to be there; even if it's just a bot, it clearly indicates there's someone inc for that encounter.
But yet, courtesy is too often put aside in the wonderful world of DAoC, thx to stressful encounters and ppl getting greedy abut teh ubah l00ts.

Engaging an encounter that is not being done by someone else at the time is not wrong or against the TOS....
Although, hitting an already engaged encounter and trying to steal the kill spam out of spite is...
PS: /wave Solamnia, yeah most people are that way, so like others if I am ready to do the encounter and its up, I could care less if some bot is parked there or people are "waiting" on their guild to show up. Sorry, guess I am just a jerk =(

Lol TNO.. Yestreday a grp tried to kill Erami (2 TNO members were present), they died to it, Postal released, so a few people any myself proceeded to pull him (no one was attacking him at the time, they were all dead). Postal came back, re'zed up and they porceeded to try and take back the encounter. But alas they failed, and we got the loot..
Postal goes on about respect... and they come and gank SoM... GG

LOL i was there i was playing Greyfire, just as a side note greyfire is NOT my char it is someone elses, if you wanna take it out on me, use the right char. now onto the next thing, we came there you were just standing there doing NOTHING except for screaming about not taking it, you had noone visible inc, and we had a full group, then once we pulled the encounter, you started to hit our mobs, the ones that we hit first, that we pulled that we had aggro from, that is against the TOS

Ok, so 2 TNO memebers makes it a TNO group now??? I know nothing about the Eramai thing, but if Postal did what you say then he was wrong.....
Oh well, he got over it quickly instead of posting on VN about blah blah they stole something that isn't mine in the first place....

An artifact encounter is not yours until you have started it. It is yours until you die in the attempt.
A lesson I had to learn the hard way, as there is little courtesy in this world, much less this game. Only thing you can do is move faster to an encounter.

BTW, how yah been bud? I haven't been able to rvr much lately with getting the uber template finally done...Now, if Fire Island would cooperate and Traldor would drop his belt then I would be gtg...
Also, I believe Steep said something about a nerf to Ceremonial encounter a little while ago. Anyone know the chance to drop arti now? I have killed 5 of them with no drop now =(

I wouldnt be happy if it happened to me, but like others have said, the encounter is fair game for anyone untill it's engaged in combat.
The worst encounter is sun/moon belt. People will wait around untill you pull the 2nd last mob left. They wait untill its almost dead, then pull and kill the last mob, and get the credit. Hate that one.
