Because I spent way too long reading this, I figure that I needed to respond...


* I played basketball for 7 years as a kid and scored my first points in my 7th year. Small town = everyone makes the team. When I did sink my first bucket, though, my entire team stood up on the bench and cheered for me. My career total was 7 points.


* I can't stand people talking about medical procedures/needles/injuries. I once passed out during a video that discussed clitorectomies in African countries. I asked the teacher after class if she could please warn me if there were to be any more additional videos about atrocities. *blush*


* I hate talking on the phone, but am on the phone for like 3 hours every night.


* One of the most important books I have ever read is "Children of the A-Bomb," edited by Dr. Arata Osada. Required reading, in my mind, for any citizen whose country hosts a nuclear arsenal.


* One of my favorite bands was originally called Velvis; now they are called Relishgruv. They are based in the Portland area (Maine, not Oregon).


* My fiance is the most amazing women. She's all the things I could've asked for, and the hundreds of little things that I would've never remembered to ask for. Like, she just enjoys watching hockey and doesn't care who's playing!


* All of my grandfathers on my father's side have been ministers dating back to around the 1200s or so. Neither my sister nor I believes in God; however, I am an ordained minister who has performed 4 non-denominational marriages.


* I have been labeled a "righteous athiest." I have a pretty strict moral code of what is right and wrong. There are some things you JUST DON'T DO!!!


* I used to love scraping my nails on the blackboard when I was in school. When I was a TA during my MA program, I once scraped my nails across the board to get the class's attention. Dirty looks abounded.


* I love to smoke cigarettes, even though I have technically quit. It has been difficult not to start up again because I miss the relaxation factor.

Vantage, I can completely relate! My hair has been a myriad of colors over time in attempt to make it non-black anymore...but I just settle with blonde now

Nah, Teslae is teh lazy of teh laziest: she is still barely 48. But still very fun.

1. I hate bad traffic more than anything else I can think of.

5. I have a Bachelor's in Political Science yet am working as Level II tech support, and I'm good at it.

6. My wife and I never lived closer than 800 miles apart until the day we got married.

7. I recently relearned that life is worth living.

9. I believe in God and Fate, and I don't believe they are the same thing.

10. I can't stand people who feel sorry for themselves. Even more, I hate it when I feel sorry for myself. (Not quite as much as bad traffic, however.) Grieve if you must for a tragedy that has befallen you, but don't lose yourself in your grief. This, too, is a lesson I've learned recently, and is one that we each must learn for ourselves, in our own way, and in our own time.
