Let's get back to the Sharkbait episode. I believe wifey overreacted to the point of a clouded judgement.
Follow my logic;
What's better:
1) Floating terrified for hours and hours in shark-infested water.
2) Having your husband slice your hammies.
Nursesharks are notorious for taking small chunks at a time. They will peck at you.
BUT, if there's enough blood in the water, an all out frenzy will follow. Thus, the trauma will be short-lived.
By cutting the hammies, the victim won't have the motor abilities to attempt to swim away. A soothing sense of inevitability will overcome the victim quickly.
