AMG! I almost choked on my waffle when I saw this! I was dropping off munchkin at daycare
Hrm lets see. Well I was born in Heidelberg Germany on March 23, 1975 (yes... I know, the big 30 next month). My dad was in the US Army and my mom was a German native from Bavaria where they met. I found out recently that my mother was not pleased at all to be having another baby (I have a half brother who is 14 years older than I am) at the ripe old age of 33. I don't remember a whole lot from those early years but this is what I do remember, partially from stories I guess. We lived in Sandhausen near Heidelberg Germany until I was about 6 months and then moved to Hampton VA for 4 years. I liked it there except for when I learned to ride my bike because the drainage openings in the street were HUGE and I had nightmares about falling into them and never getting out.
We went back to Germany when I was 4, to Heilbronn and then back to Heidelberg where we stayed until 4th grade. I loved it there

We then moved to Colorado Springs because my mom wanted a change so my dad got out of the Army. I don't know what he did there for a living honestly. I can't remember hehe. I liked it there too. There were snakes and big snow banks and I had a LOOOONG walk through some desert to get to school. I still have a library book from the school library...wonder what that would cost me to return.
Our stay in CS was cut short when my mom decided she had had enough and committed suicide. I realized later that she had classic symptoms of depression and both she and my dad were alcoholics which probably didn't help things. I only realized a couple years ago that I don't remember her ever working or even driving a car
We moved to Kentucky then where my dad's family was from. It was ok there. The kids were mean and would say things like "Oooh you have German measles or you are related to German shephards...." Sigh. I got over that though. We were only there for 5th grade and then we ended up going back to Heidelberg Germany where I spent middle school (loved it) and HS (hated it). Btw, drinking is legal in Germany for persons aged 16+

Many interesting memories. I had a steady BF for about 3 years but then he started getting mixed in with some shady types and I realized it was time to move on. I graduated HS and got a job at a video store that was run by my friends mom. That job sucked. $4.00/hr no bennies but it was easy and it was across the street from the single soldier barracks

Cue BT to enter. I dated a couple of guys I met through there and BT was one of them. We dated probably a total of 2 months before I realized that he was different (be nice!) and 6 months after we started dating we were off to Denmark to get hitched. Denmark is the Vegas of Europe
We stayed in Germany until 97 and then he got new orders and we ended up in Wash. DC. I HATED it there. I wanted to come back to the US though so oh well. He ended up getting out of the military on a medical discharge so off we went to find someplace new. We went to Vegas since we knew people there and spent 6 months trying to find jobs but nothing happened worth our time so he took a job in northern RURAL NV at Fallon NAS. That was kinda fun but boring. I was a graphics person at TOPGUN (after being an office manager, receptionist and escrow assistant elsewhere) and that was a great job. I had been attending the CC up there and my graphics teacher got me the job with him at the base WOOT! I'm still trying to make a living in graphic design, specifically animation but we shall see how that goes. Today is a key day to find out where exactly that will be going...
Just as we were getting settled in Gulf War II happened and funds were cut. Since he was a well paid contractor, he was one of the first to go so we ended up having to look at new employment options AGAIN. We had been there 3 years so that was about right...
He ended up with a job in Vegas which was fine by me. At the same time we decided that it was time to get the whole family thing over with. Ok, well I decided and he agreed hehe. We bought a house in Vegas in Dec. of 2003 and have been here since. Devin (Peanut) was born April 24 2004 and has been the light of our lives since

(great now I am missing him again).
Um some useless knowledge would be, nachos are probably my favorite food, I speak some Russian, I like frogs, we have 2 dogs (a husky and a greyhound) and 1 mouse (who is celebrating its 4th birtday), shiny or bright objects amuse me greatly, and yah...I think that is it. Oh and yah, not sure where it happened but Riko definately has to be related to me somehow.
Geesh what a novel. Any questions?
