Ha, just got a chance to check on ACF, and youre right I have been absent of late.
First a voluntary ban so to speak on my part, this past weekend was my wife's birthday and today is kinda my anniversary but actually that happens only every 4 years as I was married on leap day 2000!
And to top it all off I am wearing a brace on my wrist as I am developing carpal tunnel.
Between my computer usage, golf, 20 years of raquetball and tennis, (before I crushed my ankle) and now trying to get antique motorcycles with drum brakes to stop in traffic (right hand hand brake and stiff throttles, I have screwed my wrist. My nerve hurts all the way up to my shoulders and neck and I have had to cancel golf for a few weeks now.
Ok let me start it off I was born in Washington DC at Columbia hospital for women in June of 1957, the same hospital my Dad was born in on Friday the 13th 1916, and the same hospital Al Gore was born in (though that one I should keep to myself, the loser).
My early years were spent driving my bicycle around as I grew up on Pensylvania avenue, where the J. Edgar Hoover bldg sits today.
The closest family to where I actually lived were probably the Kennedys, it was in the hearf of official govt. land where my grandparents had an old store front with an apt above.
My Uncle was secret service and I actually went on the White House an easter egg hunt, I must have played with John (Kennedy) Junior, but I don't remember the details, I do remember the funeral procession (JFK's) as they went right by where I lived.
Ok I went to Greek Orthodox Parochial school for elementary school and took the public DC bus to it from first grade on.
I went to DC public school for Junior high which was back in the post Martin Luther King riot days, the school was 92% black and I got popped in the face with a huge black eye my first day of Junior High.
Ok I gotta go to my Tuesday construction meeting on my biggest project, I'll continue in a few hours when I get back....
