It was winter time now, and Arcalan looked out from the top of the milegate. Much had changed, within her, and others.

The snow drifted slowly down upon them as they kept watch for the Midgard invaders. An arms length away Jashen was scanning the horizon for enemy assassins, and a little further from him Crispian give out messages to runners to be delivered to the captain of the watch on the Hibernian Milegate.


From below a voice rang out clearly in the twighlight, a voice that stirred their hearts. A few other men joined in, all Highlanders, and yet Arcalan thought for a moment she detected an elven voice, but dismissed it. Their words were like a fine brandy, warming and bolstering them in the cold, and Arcalan smiled at the members of the League. Had she known the words, she'd have joined in the song.


"Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And auld lang syne!


For auld lang syne, my dear,

And the night became day, and the day became a new year. That year was the beginning of something fresh and new for Arcalan, and until the end of her days she recalled that night on the milegate with joy.

It's done, finished and laid to rest. The people who collaborated in making this what it has been, have my heartfelt thanks. It has been a often joy, and at times a source of sadness. As one person told me... as one story ends new ones begin. The characters that strive forth still exist, and many trials still may await them till thier life is finished.


Sadly... my life is spent. I have nothing left to add to this story, nor do I have nothing left to directly add to the ones in the future. It may be a land of fantasy and magic, but there shall be no reserrection of Lexi...


I wish to thank the people that gave me much joy for these last few months.
