I'm glad somebody finally decided to start these up again. A lot of people said they would, but nobody actually ever did.

I know it bothers a lot of people when I say it, but I don't like ACF much these days. maybe it's because I am getting older, maybe it's because I have been posting here since day one and have seen the board when it was a much tighter community. I don't feel it is a community anymore at all.

There are still some decent people here, but they are the minority now. There used to be a large amount of humor behind the slams and attacks, now it is just mean spirited and childish. You can't have a real discussion anymore because of all the trolls.


I don't play a part. I don't have a different persona when I am posting here. Wysiwyg. I have never understood the people who "roleplay" here. I guess I just don't need to escape my real life like they do.


Oh well, I realize that is just my opinion, most of the people that post here now seem to like it the way it is....

So not a whole lot has changed since Badgoat did a Focus On on me. I no longer drive 100 miles a day to and from work, it's down to 16 miles total round trip. I am no longer a web developer, I went back to being a PC Tech. I make a lot more money though and I love where I work. There are only three of us in the department. The programmer, who is the most intelligent person I have ever met(and my boss), the network admin, who is an older version of me, and myself. I am totally responsible for 172 PCs/users. I make all the calls on what software we use and what hardware too. It's the perfect job for me.

I don't really have a lot of time to play PC games these days. I have a lot of side jobs that keep me pretty busy, but I just went back to playing AC about a month ago. I am Rikostan on HG.

I am still a huge geek. I call my computer room and it's contents the "Geekery".....I get jazzed over all kinds of gadgets and geeky toys. Put an LED and a USB connection in a pile of dog crap and I'll play with it for hours. I am just an average guy in every sense, but I have come to grips with that.


I just turned 39 this past Saturday and I have three kids. Our oldest turned 14 the end of January. He 6'1" tall now and wears a size 13 shoe. I am only 6 foot even, so he is pretty happy that he is bigger than me. I still kick his ass when he needs it though. My daughter turns 10 in April and will be the death of me.... the youngest is 5 and the comedian of the family. The kid always makes me laugh. I haven't been spending enough time with the kids lately and I think it is starting to show... that's something I am going to change. I have been with my wife for almost 15 years now, we have been married for 13 of those years. She is awesome. I can't say enough good stuff about her. She puts up with me, which is more than 99% of other woman could manage do to for more than a couple of months. This is my second marriage and I really did it right this time. She gave me a 19" LCD for my B-day!


I have met a few ACFers face to face and every single one of them were awesome people. Kah, Kinda chang, Former-camilla, GFN, Hellnhighheels, Jungalist, Ducky, Falcon, Realroxxor, ACX, Deviousdragon, and especially sue_hg and his wife. I met sue here on ACF. I noticed we always had the same kind of weather, so I asked him where he lived.... turns out he lived about 20 miles from me. Our kids are right around the same age and get along really well together, so hanging out with the whole family is easy to do. in fact, we were just over there Saturday. We went sledding and had a blast.

I have also known Shi and Bryn for a long time too. We have talked on the phone numerous times, but never met face to face.


Some odd things about me....

I can't stand wooden tongue depressors or Popsicle sticks. The sight of them makes my tongue feel swollen.

I drink a lot of beer, but really only in the summer months. From Thanksgiving to Easter I do a lot of rum and cokes.

I am hairy... very hairy, I have not trimmed my beard for awhile, so it is about 8 inches long now... well not really "long", 8 inches big. My nickname is Wookie or Grizz, but it could just as easily be fluffy.


I walk funny because of a car accident that destroyed my knee caps and I am a pretty ugly guy, but I have never had a problem with the fairer sex.

Guess that's about it. If you want to know anything else, just ask. I am one of the most open and honest people you will ever meet.

Oh I forgot. My brother was in a car accident a couple of weeks ago, they didn't think he was going to make it, but he did. He had his last(hopefully) surgery this past week and should be out of the hospital in less than a week now. He will be even uglier, but no brain damage.
