I did the LARP thing for a few years, but mostly with my Gathering group (the gathering is more about camping and spending the weekend getting drunk in a field with your friends while dressed in funny clothes and wielding latex weapons  ), we held some events at a club called The Keep in Burnley occasionally.

yeah my (husband? ex-husband? what the hell do you call them when you're separated??) used to go to the gathering a lot, but he got too involved in the politics and eventually stopped going because it got personal.

LOL, yes, the politics were the worst aspect, that's what put my husband off and part of why we stopped going. I just completely avoided all the in-game stuff there and went for the social and fun stuff, but my husband is a sucker and kept getting drawn in to the actual game, big mistake
