I have known Shi for almost 8 years now. Always been a good friend. The four of us(the wives and us) used to hunt AC together and those are my favorite times from the game.

Great guy!

Alright so here goes, I will just start with some basics. I was born in Minnesota in 1968 but didn't stay long as my dad was in the AF. Moved all over the place and by the age of 15 had seen more of the world and things than most people will see in a life time, this includes, for example, a hand chopping in Saudi Arabia in a public square. With all the moving I did, the one constant in my life was swimming, which I did competitively until I was 17, which is when I got real lazy and blew a scholarship.

Jump forward a few years and I joined the AF myself, spent four years active duty, got out Feb of '91. During that time in service I met bryn, where she worked, while donating plasma for beer money, don't knock it, a $150 or so cash money every month went a long ways in the late 80's/early 90's! I got out no job, no nothing, but I had a few bucks in the bank. So, one day I asked bryn out, it's all a little fuzzy, but I remember spaghetti sauce being spilt on my fairly new expensive couches and a 4 hour or so sex session! A couple weeks later she moved in, about three months later we were married. Children came fast after that, 3 in just under 3 years, I got snipped before the third was even born.

Jump forward 4 years and works sucks, so I try to reenlist but they are taking anyone out that long so I join the Air National Guard for a few extra bucks. Worked tons of jobs over the years, pizza delivery, offset pressman, telemarketer, you name it. I got into the IT field in '95, the same year I joined the Guard, I don't talk much about my work so I don't have to help people a lot outside of work. I worked for MS for a year doing tech support, followed by a couple other jobs including some temp full time stints with my Guard unit. Finally after trying a bunch I became full time Guard as a civilian, which is what I still do to this day. That consists of managing a fairly large network mixed of Cisco and Nortel switches and routers, a telephone switch capable of running a small city, small pc's, wireless, that sort of thing. Like I said before, I usually don't talk about it much so I don't have to help out too much on my free time.

Bored yet?

So I think everyone knows I am way into motorcycles, you can see my current one below, and you can see some of the others I have had in the past 5 or 6 years here. I also SCUBA, am into guns a bit and study tai chi off and on.

I will be 39 this July and am feeling it a little bit, have a decent relationship, although none are perfect, and ours is far from it, but we plod along and work stuff out. Damn I am running out of crap to say so I quit!

Its your ability to work through problems, not your ability to avoid them completely that measures a relationships true success!

I think I'm going to have to take up your practice of just not talking about computers. It would have let me get out of a TON of headaches through the years if I had just played dumb!

Good stuff, thanks Shi.

I kind of rambled, that's pretty much how my brain works, scattered ideas all over, sometimes I wonder how I function.
