Alrighty!
It's exam week of my junior year of college. Last focus on happened back in the fall of my freshmen year and I have a few updates.
I'm no longer as dumb as I was back then! whoohoo!
Anyway, college has been college. The biggest changes are that I am now on the FOURTH major in the FOURTH different college at MSU(Computer Engineering, French, Accounting, and now Anthropology.) I plan on finishing with the anthropology and possibly going to grad school. If not I will be looking for a job somewhere out in corporate america, or I will get a teaching certificate and go back to highschool. I'm honestly fine with any of these options, I've learned to relax a lot.
As for what I'm doing outside of classes. I am on the MSU Fencing Club, and participate in three SAF(Student Alumni Foundation) programs, Day at State where I host an interested student for a day or overnight and show them what life on campus is really like. They shadow me through a day or two of my regular schedule and I answer any questions they might have. I am a tour guide in the Campus Tours program, which is exactly what it sounds like, and finally I am part of the Student Panel in the Inside MSU program. This involves answering questions for about 45 minutes before walking the group from the Student Union through the Main Library and Wells Hall and finally to the International Center for the Study Abroad(or two) presentation.
I've changed a fair bit, I'm much more open and discovered that I love just talking to people about anything and everything. Last summer was a lot of fun as my Tigers finally had a good season that I can remember, and Kardon got to eat his hat as the Tigers finished within 5 games behind of the Yankees(and evenutally beat them
). This summer I am planning on NOT returning to the factory but instead staying in East Lansing to work in The State Room in the Kellogg Center on campus, and will sublease from my friend to live with another friend.
Next year will be part 1 of the my senior year(I have three semesters to go) and I will be moving in early as part of the Shaw Green Team. Basically I will be helping out hall staff and the RAs get the hall ready for freshmen to move in that wednesday before classes and upperclassmen after that.
