I have an Idea, Take the Disc out, it worked for me
Although, watching the movie is about the most AC experience you are gonna have till the servers are back up.
I think you should leave it in and watch it over..and over..and over...

Um, Generator, she did take the disk out, like 6 posts into the thread... read and you'll see.
Talk about intelligence, or lack of it... the whole post other than the original is a joke. duh.

This is my first post, so I decided it should be something very helpful to everyone... I understand there is some difficulty in attempts to stop the "movie" of AC... But why would you want to? A year of playing AC instead of sleeping has taught me one thing... Problems... Like unbalanced characters, poor economy, level 80 gimps, and crashed servers... They don't need to be fixed... They're good the way they are... Why can't you people leave well enough alone? But if you want to make the best of the movie, I suggest this... Don't listen to these chants of "Take the disk out", and Take the disk out!" and "For God's sake, woman! Take the disk out!"... Do this... Gather your friends around... All of them... Strip down... All the way... Make 400 lbs of Popcorn... And... No... Wait... That's from a movie... All you have to do is wait for the movie to start... Then type up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, "B", "A", start... You will have to watch the movie, but when the game begins, you'll have fifty lives... And if you get the machine gun, with some practive you'll make it past the Hangar Level, and to the Alien Hive... You should be able to beat Asheron's Contra... Just watch for the crawling aliens... Glad I could help...

I was going to read all of the suggestions, but I just don't have that much time. However, judging from what I have read...they all have it all wrong. What you need to do is to go into your garage, look for a grey box, open the door on the grey box, look for a little lever that is labelled 'Master Breaker' and flip that little switch. This should solve your problem. Good luck!
If this does not fix the problem, don't blame me. I am not generally much good at problem solving.
