IF your HUD isn't working run DXDIAG (start, run, DXDIAG <enter>, goto Display tab, click the Test Direct 3d button, if you do not get the 3d rotating test image try this first:


right click on desktop, select properties/settings tab/advanced button/adapter tab, click properties button then DRIVER tab then click UPDATE DRIVER - just take defaults and it should use existing installed driver. Test Direct 3d again - if working try running AC/tank now.


if this does not work:

run service pack 2

install directX dec 2005 (current newest) direct x from MS (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en) then do:

You're crashing on login, right?

This fixed the HUD errors and crashing to desktop on logout for me. Sorry

I crash on log in and log out...


No problems found.

Disable comp HUD

Diaable Comms


Had to turn off all 4, but I rarely crash.

Usualy crash on a 1/10 log ins now. (Which is odd b/c used to crash on all logouts,...)

Time to lower your resolution or get a better video card, methinks.

Yes still crashing randomly on logouts and somtimes logins, I haven't cleaned my registy and re-downloaded yet tho. I doubt it is my video card but ya never know I guess.
