Well, unless Turbine screws up and actually adds some real content, they don't need much updating.

Easy to do on your own: get a paper bag and a flashlight. head outside at midnight on patch day. shine the flashlight into the bag and grunt "MEMLOCS!" repeatedly. They'll be sure to run right into the bag after a while.

Sorry to give up the secrets, Arch_Magi

FWIW, and in the interest of education...

As Hazridi (mostly) finds memlocs, Drakier (mostly) creates 'signatures' for them that allow us to find them more quickly in future releases. These signatures usually do a very good job at locating the memlocs, but can in some cases be fooled, or code in a specific area may change so much that a particular signature is no longer valid, and we have to find it manually again. Knowing it's last position greatly speeds up this process.

When there are MAJOR changes to the client (Think ToD, or the Compiler change of a couple years back), then virtually ALL the signatures become invalid, and the 'position' clues we used to refind them no longer work.

So...barring a new expansion pack, or conversion to MSVC 8.0, memlocs should be a quick and easy prospect. If devs are available, test versions will usually beat the opening of the worlds, with actual release shortly thereafter.

But...ALL THAT BEING SAID...We don't make promises on delivery times, and ETA requests are soundly mocked.
