how are you launching AC?

are you using ACDualClient? Are you using a Shortcut on the desktop?

There is an option when Launching AC where you can specify -rodat and it will enable the Read-Only DAT files. That is what I was asking.

Since you have no clue what I'm talking about hoever, my guess is you probably are not unless you had dome something in the past to enable it based on what someone else said, and never changed it back. It's hard to know at this point.

If you cannot get the DAT files to remain NOT Read-Only, then I don't know how to assist you any further. Something is causing them to remain in a Read-Only state, and that isn't good.

Check that you're using the correct paths.

ACDualClient should be pointing to the same place the shortcuts are.

If the shortcuts work, then there is no reason ACDualClient shouldn't.

You may need to run the "First Time Setup" again by clicking the Clear Paths button in ACDualClient then restarting it.

Make sure when it asks you for the path to AC, you put in the same path that the working shortcut points to.
