Until there is a decal plugin or such a quick way to transfer your old friends list to the new friends list is this:


In game, make a log of your friends list by typing:

/log friends.txt

/friends old

/log


Now outside of AC, in the directory where AC is installed find the file Friends.txt

edit it with notepad so that the only text in it are your friends names and not when the list was made.


Then do some cut & pasting by adding '/friends add' in front of all your friends names:

File should look something like this:


/friends add friend1

/friends add friend2

/friends add friend3


Save the file, make sure it is in same place you found it (ac home directory)


then in game simply type:

/loadfile friends.txt


viola - your new friends list is populated.

I wrote a plugin to transfer the friends lists with a "/friends update" command, but that requires Decal to be working

transfer it manually, it takes like 1 min

automate? sounds like more work to me....


while ingame and friends panel open:


type in chat bar, /friends old (with space)


click on the box in your friends panel, type name, click add


repeat as needed


took me all of 1.5 minutes to get 12 names copyed over


much faster than making a log, going out of game, modifying said log, going back in game and executing modified log.... in fact, the time it takes JUST to edit the log, would be the very same amount of time it will take to add them ingame in most instances
