Wth is happening here: last month i noticed the high ram usage and now i see that after the patch my CPU usage has gone up to 100%???
I always monitor my pc and when today i started off hearing the fans screaming i decided to see what was going on: when AC is the main window the CPU usage jumps to 100%, when Task Manager is the main window and AC is running in background the memory usage drops to 9%.
I am kinda desperate....this will lead me to leave this game: i am not going to burn 2 pcs because they are messing up.
Btw it's not Decal related: the CPU usage is the same with or without decal loaded.
2 pcs with 1 Gb Ram, processors Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz and Athlon Xp 2.4 Ghz, video cards ATI 256 Mb.
This is plain stupid.
Anyone else noticed the same?

you aren't gonna burn up a cpu running at 100%. I have run pc's folding at 100% 24/7 for over a year.

Well, this is the first time i see my pc running at 100%, and hearing the fans working at max speed means that the heat developed is high, too high.
I wouldn't be so sure there is not the risk of over heating the processor.

I have 4 pcs setup here. No problems without decal. 2 running ATI card, the other 2 running Nvidia cards. Systems are p4 3ghz, 1gb ram, 256mb on the video cards.
I do have problem though when I run new version decal. Soon I start using the plugins, If I alt tab out of game or in game ac uses 100% cpu. When no Decal, works fine.

Check to see if you are usnig the high-res graphics.

This has been a problem since alpha decal and alpha plugins came out. My suspicion is that because these ARE alphas they are not loading themselves into memory as efficiently as they did (they're just not "cooked fully" yet  ). I've noted when I run decal/plugins my cpu usage is considerably higher than without - I also have more noticeable lag than without. I figure it will all clear itself up when the finals are released in the future. I've not noticed a great deal of difference from one graphics setting to another - my vid card is handling those nicely.

Decal/Plugins are actually putting less of a load on the graphics now than with the old version. The Bugs are in the AC client.

Shouldn't the CPU be at 100% when playing, I mean the client is designed to run as fast as possible.

I can play Lineage 2 and never go above 50%.
