hi i have decal on my comp. I cant get the new version to work. I have decal alpha 5d installed but i cant remove it since i dont have the installer package. (win xp) Is there any way to remove it w/o the installer? I tried add / remove programs but it says it needs the installer package to remove it. The links to DL it are not working anymore on the decal page. If anyone has it please e-mail it to me at aldred_the_hunter@hotmail.com. Thanks!

You can download the windows installer from microsoft hon. If you have your system set to notify you of updates, the newest version of the installer is one of those updates ... OR ... Digero posts a link for it on his site: http://decal.acasylum.com/index.php You want the windows installer 3.1. It's on the left side of the page under requirements.

hi ash! how are ya?!? thanks for the reply. I have windows installer 3.1 already on my pc, but when i try to remove the decal 5d, it looks for the downlaoded decal installer package to remove it. since i dont have it saved for some reason, it can't remove it. I'm not the most comp savvy person, but it looks like i need the actual decal 5d installer to remove it.

alpha 5 wont work for ya since alpha 6 is the only working decal version now

yeah i know but i need the alpha 5d installer to remove it from my system. I have the latest version but its not working with the alpha 5d still installed. I need to remove it, its giving me errors and i cant install the latest version.

no add remove option in control panel add/remove programs?
for me that worked fine and then clear out the registery
there is a decalcleaner avail at http://skunkworks.sourceforge.net/misc/CleanDecalReg.exe
