I can't use decal my computer is too old. I am only going to use for COC playing. I am not a coder so I can't write my own one.


I need to know:


1) Where do I download

2) How do I run

3) are there any set codings I can use already - like a template

4) What do I need to learn to use?


Appreciate help soory for any flames in advnace from the decal freaks.

If you have to ask - screw ya. You gotta learn the hard way like the rest of us. Go search the AC Tool boards and do your homeWORK before you come looking for handouts.

To run ACTool properly you have to run decal and we all know you think people who use decal are cheaters. It makes the monsters run to them.

elgarl's MOSTLY right, the decal interface of ACTool makes using it easier & much more powerful. HOWEVER, one can do stuff without the interface, just takes a lot more effort and programming exp.

And while some people could write things themselves to do things in ACTool without Decal, Tiviee is not in a position to be writing ACTool macros as already outlined in the original post. Since Tiviee doesn't want to write macros for ACTool and will most likely be using the already existant macros, chances are, those macros take advantage of the Decal related components.


That said, ACTool isn't quite as useful without Decal. If you're trying to go to ACTool because you want to go without Decal, then you're really looking at it the wrong way.

Drak i stand by my statement. there was even a buff bot program that ran in ACTool that did not rely upon the decal interface.


as i said it is much EASIER with the inteface to decal and all it adds, but some stuff simple stuff like making scripts to make arrow heads, potions, or turning in peas for conversion to trade notes is possible.


I just felt ELgarl's statement was missleading in that it could give the impression NOTHING was possible without the Decal inteface (which obviously means having Decal installed).

I just think it's funny that someone who bashes decal/plugin devs/users would have the b@lls to come and ask for complete step by step instructions for ACTool from them.

Wierd Exactly How Old is your computer?


I run ToD with Decal on a 6 almost 7 year old P3 733 with 512mb RAM the "newest" componant in the entire rig is a 3 year old Vid Card an ATI 9200 with 128mb..


If your rig is older then That I doubt your able to Play ToD let alone attempt to run Decal.

I know someone who Plays ToD with Decal on an AMD k6 500 with a GF4. If you can Run ToD you should be able to run decal. If you cant run ToD why even EVER post on a AC Board?


So Either your still Running Win 98/ME (I'm sorry) in which case no you cant use Decal, and only run ToD itself on the benevolence of Turbine. IMO no developer game/util or otherwise can or should be expected to support an OS That even the original authers ( Microsoft ) no longer offer support for.

Really dude all you ever do is troll.. This board is dedicated to AC Utilities the core of which are Decal related, with Some AC Tool stuff, and Other utils like Dereth explorer but truth be told you'll rarely see posts concerning these here.


At least you made the effort this time to give your post an appearance of "On Topic". Its obviously just a cover for another of your childish prodding and whining about decal. I think your more angry of the fact you cant get Decal to work then anything else. I do pray they keep it at a difficulty lvl just above room tempature, that way you'll never sucessfuly get it to work.
