is there a program to tell you how to nik an item to its full potential?
Yup, guess it doesn't work with Firefox. It uses client side scripting to do the calculations, so if this is not supported you have a few options....
a) Use IE
b) View the Source and create your own Firefox enabled webpage
c) Get the Firefox authors to support VBScript in pages properly.
d) Download the open source Firefox files and make the changes yourself.
e) Beg the author to change it, understanding that the original author no longer maintains it, and the current site is simply 'hosting' the page without writing it.
Useless options include whining and posting that Firefox doesn't work, over and over and over again...
Oh wait...Forget C and D, from the Firefox website:
There is no support for VBScript and ActiveX, two technologies which are the reasons for many IE security holes.

Yep it was written in vbscript, so it'll never work in Firefox. If anyone want to volunteer to rewrite it in javascript so it works in any browser I'd be happy to host it. I quit playing AC a couple months ago, and I have a newborn baby at home, so rewriting the website myself isn't a top priority.
