-Actually the host file lives in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc. If you have a host.sam file make sure to delete the extenstion first.
so shoot me for forgetting drivers.

then you did it wrong , make the hosts file do a ipconfig /flushdns and ping www.treestats.com to see what it resolves to.
-I also cleared my cache but it made no difference.
dont think it needs a hosts entry other than that ill try and look though
-I even tried using the IP directly in the address line which appeared to resolve to treestats, but it also appeared to require another extenstion such as /default.aspx as I just got the message that this page had been intentionally left blank.
well its because it hosts other sites and the default site is blank.
