Question regarding the AC Client..

It seems that the acclient takes up alot more RAM than before, is it decal that has mem leaks or AC?

try it with and without decal for a while?
i believe people have been reporting memory leak issues with just the client on certain hardware setups.

I had serious issues with a Radeon 128M ati chipset card in regards to memory leakage.
it would only run ONE instance of mule trader and about hever 20-24 hours would blue screen on some ati routine. this was on a 2.99Ghz pentinum 4 machine with 1G of main memory. yet a 3 or 4 year old Nviva Geforce card on a 1Ghr machine pentinum 2 or 3 with .75G of main memory could run two instances of mule trader on a HIGHER graphics setting and NOT have troubles.
needless to say i scrapped the 'freebie/bundled' ati card and got a new niva card within days.

Basically, just about every ATI card out there has an issue. I have memory leak problems with an X800TX, 9800 Pro, and 8500 ... I've tried different drivers (even from the "special drivers" not from ATI), with and without Decal, and the problem is in the AC Client.
Apparently Turbine is taking the "Powered by nVidia" motto just a little too serious.

It does occur on nVidia hardware as well.... but to a much smaller segment of the population.
And it doesn't happen to everyone with an ATI card... but definately a good portion.

nVidia cards do have some probs too, just not as many. I have a GeForce 6600 GT, and I've tried every one of nVidia's drivers for it, from the most recent to the oldest that will support it, I still crash out with a a Client Error when logging out a char. Not every time, but often. And it's partially correlated to how many plugins I'm running.
