Gouru!


Ok, calm down, anybody that really knows me and Gouru must be thinking "wtf..." Gouru has agreed to not apply his standard EULA to MuleTrader, so don't freak out. He will be renaming it slightly, though, to match his other "____ It!" plugins, which is fine by me. People will know to go to him for support just by seeing the name. I've also given Gouru the source for MuleShopper, should he wish to maintain it (because I won't be).


Feel free to ask questions here. I don't promise a timely response, but I will respond at some point, generally within 24 hours or so.


Thank you to all the applicants I had, it honestly wasn't an easy decision. Thank you also, to all the users of MuleTrader. It wouldn't be worth handing off if it wasn't for all of you.

Just to reiterate..the EULA will NOT be changing! The download location will probably move to AsheronsToybox.com, and the name will change to Mule Trade It!, primarily to make it clear who to blame for any new issues, bugs, lack of documentation, changes, whatever...


Currently support will continue to be primarily through the Mule Trader forum which I will be browsing on a regular basis.


Current plans are to maintain the current source in VB6, with plans to move it to .NET at some point in the future. Initial goals are to become familiar with the code and fix any known bugs. I'll then start work on the prioritized list of feature changes from Gol.

That's fine, just as long as MuleTrader (or whatever it will be called) does not have the same sort of "limitation" as all the other IT! programs have ... namely, it would be in violation of the EULA if you run/install the program on a machine with ElTank or LifeTank, otherwise, this plugin is "dead to me".

One of my reasons for not changing it is that I would think it kind of hard to be running a tradebot while combat macroing. It might be used to sell items that are used in CM, or it might be selling items obtained from CM. You have no control of how the items you sell are used, and my personal belief is that it's use for selling items obtained from CM is a fringe case I won't worry about. If I'm wrong, please don't let me know...

Thank you, Gol, for the hard work you did in creating Muletrader..... it works, and it works flawlessly, and does so in the background on my computer while I play my main account. Even though you didn't finish some things you had planned on finishing, your plugin is used by many, many people and your work is so very appreciated. Thank you for choosing another great plugin developer, and I know (I hope I'm not assuming too much) that he will continue the plugin on in the same spirit as you created it. Thank you.

Ok, now that the sarcasm is outta the way ,looks like a good marriage. Gouru had posted before he was going to look into making a tradebot plugin, and an established on pops up as being distributed...and an established plugin that was looking for a developer to keep it going ends up having Gouru fall into its lap.
