"mebby put all errors in the main chat window "

Not sure if it's a serious question, but I hope Gouru doesn't do it.

With messages going to a chat window other than main, you can opt not to see them. If it's in main, you can't not see it (at least AFAIK theres no way to close main chat window)

Having plugin place its messages in chat 1 makes sense to me.

It does allow ppl to sit and chat and not look at the messages.

I sorta went the other way with Tings. If I want to chat and if Tings few messages get in the way I

can open a Chat window to do my gabbing and ignore the plugin messages in the main chat. I may

put in option to stop even that as Tings Hud shows basic messages already.

Moving the error messages to main chat is actually what I have been planning on doing in next release.

This will ONLY be for errors like 'out of components' etc., not general messages.

It will also be configurable as to which window the messages can go to

Find It! was done as my first plugin update after the new chat windows went in. I was still experimenting with them, figuring out the best way to use them, and how they should best be used. Later plugins that used the windows had configurability built in (see Find It!) and those capabilities will appear in my other plugins as well.

My philosophy has always been that if it is 'good enough' for my own personal use, then I will release it for others to use as well, even if it is not perfect. There are those that disagree with this philosophy, preferring I don't release anything until it is full release quality with manuals and step by step how-tos. I think there are others that prefer being able to install a version of Make It! that is probably about 90% there, than not being able to install something that gets reviewed in glowing terms with nothing to show except future promises.

I wouldn't mind getting out of the Make It! business. The only reason I wrote it originally was that Robochef had been completely dropped as support. Later, the developer came back to the game and started supporting Robochef again, so choice became available. Great! However, with ToD, we're back to supported plugins and non-supported. A situation where you have a player using it on a daily basis, and a developer that will never use it because they aren't playing any more.

I'd like to see Robochef done for those that want that option. But comparative reviews are a little premature.
