I'm assuming this can be done by just using a custom skin. Would be nice not having to install Decal.

Essentially looking for something that will display the fellowship health/stam/mana bars on-screen without having to open up the fellow pane.

Or, if someone could just point me in the direction of any UI editors that would be great, as well.

How long have you been playing AC?

you can't mod the UI other than replacing the textures and images.

If you assume any sort of other customization without the aide of Decal, you're sorely mistaken.

You could do this with a Decal plugin however.

I've been playing since '99, off and on.

Sorry to hear that. I've never attempted to mod the UI for AC, just for other games. Most of them were pretty easy; something like forcing the fellowship information to display on the screen by default, or even just make the fellowship panel transperant, was simple most of the time.

Any suggestions on what plug-in would do this? Sorry, ignorant when it comes to Decal.

There isn't one yet that I know of... but it wouldn't be too difficult to create really.

There used to be one, had a buncha heads up display stuff. Exception I think... really liked that one, Filtered the melee/magic attacks to #'s on a heads up thing.

Yeah, was Exception, I believe it was/is on Haz's to-do list to update it, no idea what his current plan is in regards to it, if any.

I remember seeing some pre-ToD screenshots of this, but wasn't sure if it had been developed on the new Decal or not. Thanks.

Ya know... if simple things could be steered away from decal (Such as huds), we could focus on making custom interfaces for the game that don't require decal.

Could be a good thing on both sides of the coding world.

Making a HUD in AC without Decal would take a lot of work. And then integrating it with game events would essentially require recreating Decal. I'm not sure why you'd want to go to so much trouble when Decal already exists ... or maybe I misunderstood you?

Probably meant on Turbines side, having a simple xml based interface would be rather nice.
