A new version of LifeTank has been released!

- Web communication is now asynchronous. No more lag when finding rares!

- New /rares and /myrares commands. /rares lists the past 20 rares found. /myrares lists the past 20 rares the current character has found.

- An authorization server has been added, so we may require upgrades to future versions without having the Decal devs killbit the program.

- Admin alarm and detection has been removed, after discussion with Turbine.

- More healing improvements for melees and archers.

- Peace mode healing is now toggleable.

This is why Turbines motto is exploit early, exploit often. If you didn't cheat in the past, its impossible to catch up now. Even the player base is going by the same motto now.


I really don't care about this for myself, as everyone knows I have played only El-Diablo for many years.


But it sucks that the ability to UCM is being taken away from future users. That means there will be no more high levels being created as rapidly. This means less competition for myself.


This is helping ruin the game because new characters will not be created and leveled. Sure, more valid characters will be created, but who will care when the game is dead due to nobody playing?


Let me explain further...


I know you people who hug the CoC daily won't understand what I am saying. You'll curse me out and call me a cheater despite the fact I mentioned I no longer have use for UCM. But, try to understand this: if new characters are not entering the game, and old characters are quitting, EVENTUALLY THERE WILL BE NO ONE LEFT. It's like a leak in a tub. What will happen eventually?


Now if you can understand that point... understand that Lifetank and UCMing creates new character flow. It is what helps maintain this game.


This game is going to slowly die off completely when people stop creating characters, now that Lifetank does not have Admin alarm, people can't pick up AC, catch up, and have fun with the high levels. The new character flow is going to die.

I have a couple of questions regarding some features......


Does the "xp avg last 5 mins" and the "last 20 rares found" take up any resources or could they cause any "lag" so to speak?


Personally, I don't really see a use for them. I know how much exp I'm making an hour and I know what rares I've found....I can't really see a need for those features especially if they take up resources to the point that it might slow it down.


Neat features I guess.....just not for me.

There is another variable that was created for the use of the XP average, but the impact is minimal.


As far as the last 20 rares go, they're stored on the RareTracker server. So no additional space on the client was taken up for this feature. It also won't cause AC to lag, as all HTTP communication is now asynchronous (basically, it runs separately from AC.) You will not even know it's even heading out to the Internet to get the data.

Do i need to uninstall the previous version to install this one? When i tried to install it, all i got was a Repair or Uninstall option.. And if I uninstall, will i lose all of my set up from the other version?

Yes, please uninstall the old version. You won't lose your old information, unless it was before 11.7.0.0. If it was, you may lose your loot profiles.

They added a ton so usless crap. Stuff that was not needed. And took away what was. I knew this would happen.
